Does anybody here own one or ridden in one? I’m looking for a less expensive but still good quality saddle to use trail riding, I know Circle Y saddles are top quality, so I’m wondering if this line by them is any good?

seeknstuff asked:

I am wanting to get a western saddle for my 8 yr old daughter but don’t want her to know about it. Any suggestions on what size to buy?
I am asking for seat size. I can get it to fit the horse without her. It is the seat size that I am looking for suggestions on.

How much does it cost to have a saddle professionally re-dyed?

Thursday, October 21st, 2010
dee asked:

I am buying a saddle for about $1100 less than the retail price, practically new. However, i don’t get to choose the color, and it doesn’t match my bridle. I don’t trust myself to darken it with oil myself, as it is a considerable investment and i’ve never been so great at stuff like that. Please don’t suggest i do this myself. So how much would it cost to take it to a professional and have them re-dye the leather?
I already own the bridle so i cannot match the bridle to the saddle.

How is the best way to clean saddle pads?

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010
Melynda A asked:

We have bought several new saddle pads and I need to be able to keep them clean. All our pads in the past start to smell bad. We have tried several different ways to clean them but it seems that nothing so far has really worked. We give our horses baths often enough but so far they still give us stinky pads. We also always seem to take really long rides 4-6 hours and sometimes overnight trips as well. We always take extra pads along on overnighters so that we are always using dry pads. Any ideas would be great. Thanks in advance to all of you who reply. ~smiles~
We do ride Western….thanks for all the answers so far.

Well it is a light and medium color of brown. Can I get that at like Tractor Supply or do I order it?
